Tried Uoichi for the firs time today and we absolutely loved it! The staff were super positive and kind and the food was amazing! Probably the best Japanese restaurant we have tried in London.

Found an amazing little hidden gem near our place! It’s a lovely atomsphere authentic Izakaya (居酒屋) run by a friendly Japanese chef Taro and his wife Eliza offering a true Japanese experience. The quality and freshness of fish was really awesome. We ordered few dishes, Fried Oysters and Chicken Karagee are especially delicious and authentic. Really hard to find a good Japanese restaurant in London, glad we found this place. 美味しい May 27, 2021 We were here last week and revisited yesterday with my children for an afternoon lunch. We ordered Chirashi Don set and Curry Chicken Karaage set, both are very good. Very happy to find this tiny jewel, will continue to visit to explore more dishes June 4, 2021
I visited Uoichi three times before and I can tell I am so lucky this place is in the area!! Probably the best Japanese restaurant I tried, and it’s quite hard to find something healthy, tasty and affordable in London. I loved the mozuku seaweed salad so much I’m trying to recreate it at home. The toro don is also incredible and the lunch options packed with flavour. Every time I come here with my boyfriend, we always shock the staff and the owners by the quantity of food we order. But we can’t help it. Simply delicious!
Absolute gem I’m Japanese and despite all the Asian community expanding in CW, it is difficult to find a decent Japanese place in the neighbourhood. This place on the other hand gives such an authentic izakaya vibe just like in Japan :) The lunch menu is amazing there. Every day there is a special menu with discounted price between 13-15. I went with sashimi lunch for 22 but the bill was literally the price without service charge Also the lady who works there is very kind and attentive, served us free tea so many times and gave us detailed explanations. I overheard that the owner is a Chinese person and I appreciate that they research and dedicate to create such an authentic vibe. Thank you so much and I will come back soon!
I had an appointment in the area and was early, so i stopped here for some lunch, as it was close by. I had no expectations and when the food came, the appearance was very underwhelming, BUT, the taste was truly a shocking! Everything was well balanced and delicious. I couldnt believe how much flavour was packed in it. What a nice little find
Lovely izakaya restaurant with fantastic food and attentive service. The place is tiny so definitely book in advance, they typically don’t accept walk-ins for dinner. Every dish on the menu is excellent but my favourite has to be the assorted sashimi platter. The restaurant is owned by a husband and wife team - husband does the cooking and the friendly wife serves the customers. I find myself craving the food here every few months, highly recommend!
The food was great and the waitresses were so cute :3 It was a very good evening for us to have an amazing dinner. Especially the squid sashimi. Please order it, you won't be disappointed.
